Upcoming Events - Save The Date!
Wine-and-Bibles Formation program
Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 in the Parish Hall, and then continue each week on Wednesdays, from 6:30-8:30pm. We will concern other ways God, particularly Christ, shows up in the scriptures. No advance reading or preparation is required--but a little bit wouldn't hurt. Potluck food and drink--just the way Jesus and Momma would do it.

Task & Contact Information:
Shift Monitors - One female and one male monitor per shift to stay with the guests at night, 7:00PM to 12:00AM and 12:00AM to 7:00AM. Lights are out at 10:00PM and most nights go very quietly. Contact Anne Ridenour (301.373.5833; anne.ridenour@md.metrocast.net) if you would like to volunteer.
Meals - Breakfast and dinner each day during the week. To make the meals task easier this year, we would like to have one volunteer to coordinate the breakfasts for the week and another volunteer to coordinate the dinners for the week. Please contact Betsy Franklin(301.884.3771; redmarlin6@gmail.com).
Cleaning - Last year we could have used some extra hands for the cleaning task. Usually, the cleaning crew comes in the morning after the guests depart. Tasks include vacuuming the main dining area and the hallway. Also, the bathrooms must be cleaned and trash removed, etc. Please call Ingrid Swann(301.884.3456; IngridElisabet@aol.com) to volunteer.
Laundry - Sheila Hiebert(301.769.3899; sheilagib@erols.com) is leading the laundry team. This year we are expecting up to 25 guests and it would be reasonable to expect that the number of items to be laundered will increase. The majority of the work happens at the end of the week.
Equipment - We will need help receiving the WARM equipment on Sunday, February 5 and delivering to the next hosting church on Sunday, February 12. Robert Oppermann(301.884.4581; ropp13@aol.com) is the coordinator.
Check-in - We need a check-in crew to help receive the guests as they arrive. This is a critical task, as it sets the tone for the rest of the evening. Please contact Cathy Askey(cathy@aaacpa.com) if you would like to volunteer for this task.
Drivers - In case of inclement weather, we will need drivers with vehicles to transport volunteers to and from the parish hall as needed. Please contact Herb Redmond (301.904.4922; hnredmond@att.net) if you can help.
Summer Camp
The Diocese is in the process of developing a summer stay camp for 4th to 8th graders
We are looking to see if there is an interest in this and if so for what ages would parents like to see a summer camp for-there is a chance that the camp could be located at Camp Merrick in Nanjemoy or at Camp Maria in Leonardtown. If interested please let us know at Church Office.
Lent / Mardi Gras Party Save the date!
Saturday, February 18th at Brad and Donna Reeves house for potluck, bonfire, lots of laughter and fun as usual. Beginning at 2 pm. Location: 25434 Hurry Road, Chaptico, MD. Please call Shelby Oppermann for additional information at 301-904-2532.
