2014 Chaptico Classic

10K & 5K Road Race and 5K Walk - Saturday, August 30, 2014, Beginning at 8am!

There are three ways to register:
* Pre-register online by August 27 (and save!) by visiting www.active.com.
* Print and fill out an application then mail it in with a check.
* Sign up beginning at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the race.

Join us at Christ Episcopal Church Parish Hall and be part of the longest running race (and walk) in Southern Maryland. For the benefit of: Three Oaks Shelter, St. Mary’s Caring Soup Kitchen, Southern Maryland Community Network, Mary Lou Gough Food Pantry, The Jude House.
We remember our friends: Mary Lou Gough, LaRue Redmond, Frank Klear, Abell Longmore, and Wilma and George B. Reeves.

Yoga with Lynn

Two sessions every Thursday!
Gentle yoga on the mat with Lynn begins at 9am every Thursday in the Parish Hall. From 9 to 10 we stretch the body from head to toe. Class ends at 10:30 following a period of meditation/relaxation that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and renewed.   Anyone, of any age, with or without previous yoga experience, who is comfortable getting up and down from the floor is welcome to join this class.  
At 10:45am Thursday mornings, there is a chair exercise/yoga class.  It begins with the use of light hand weights (provided) and is also designed to stretch the entire body from head to toe.  This class ends with a 15-minute relaxation, all while sitting in a chair. 
Both of these classes were created to teach the benefits of mindfully stretching, breathing, and relaxing.
Lynn does not charge for her guidance.  There is, however, a donation box, that is absolutely voluntary, that helps the church with air conditioning and heating the hall, and helps Lynn with gas expense.

Zumba Class

At the Parish Hall every Tuesday @ 7:15pm and Wednesdays at 6pm, with licensed Instructor  Lisa Martoni.  Cost is $6 each visit or purchase a punch card for $25. Click here to view the full schedule. For information call Lisa Martino at 240-925-4153.

Flaunt Exercise

Every Wednesday at @ 7:15pm with Lisa Martoni (the first Flaunt!® teacher in Southern Maryland). A 45-minute fitness program for all women, every shape and size, using a variety of movements appropriate for Flaunt!® starters as well as more experienced divas.  Flaunt!® combines Pilates and dance to create a fun, all over body workout that will leave you feeling strong and confident. Much like yoga or Pilates, it is a low-impact workout focused on stretching and deliberate movement. Come out for an amazing workout and have fun. Don’t forget your yoga mat!
